Job Description
The Electrical Foreman is responsible for providing on-site direction and leadership for workers in order to complete jobs within specific guidelines that include quality standards, time requirements, and budget considerations. Multi-Family Experience is a HUGE plus but not required. We need a strong leader.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required :
Thorough knowledge of the practices, methods, equipment, materials, and tools of the electrical trade.
Thorough knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the work.
Ability to supervise the work of skilled workers.
Considerable knowledge of the National Electrical Code for electrical installations.
Ability to interpret and work from instructions, penciled plans and sketches, and blue prints.
Ability to communicate and coordinate with superiors and subordinates
Ability to estimate materials and labor costs.
Skill in the use and care of all hand and shop tools and equipment of the electrician's trade.
Job Duties
Other job duties include managing a team, evaluating employees' progress, training new team members, attending meetings, identifying conflicts, and resolving problems are all personnel responsibilities that an electrical foreman may have. Other work responsibilities often include organizing and planning a construction project, directing work, inspecting installations for quality, making sure code standards are met, and ensuring job safety.
